Located at our Durham facility, Roman Kuranov is responsible for R&D of Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), customer technical support and intellectual property development. Roman integrates with our expert team possessing full spectrum of the engineering, business and scientific background to prototype and commercialize the innovative Fourier-Domain OCT instruments. He brings to the company 20 years’ experience in the development and biomedical application of innovative OCT instruments. At biomedical companies, Roman developed intravascular Swept-Source OCT systems. Dr. Kuranov received his Ph.D. in Laser Physics from the Institute of Applied Physics RAS, Russia in 2003. He received Postdoctoral training from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston.
